Our philosophy of strategic partnership means that we work with you to develop a strategy to fill your open position. Once we have identified position requirements, organizational goals and timelines, we are on track to fulfill our side of the partnership.

1. Preparation

First, we focus on developing a clear picture of the ideal person to fill your open position. We interview your hiring executive, and, as necessary, other members of your senior management team, managers and employees, to determine the critical variables that make your company unique. We make sure the position is clearly specified, in three ways:

Only through this comprehensive process will we have enough information to provide you with the best candidates. Once we have developed the position requirements, we get confirmation in writing.

2. Search

Our second step is to assemble a list of potential candidates who meet your distinctive requirements. We perform an extensive search that includes consulting our network and state-of-the-art database of highly-qualified candidates, and conferring with affiliates and partners. We leave no stone unturned in our search for candidates.

3. Qualification

The third step is the multi-tiered screening process we use to qualify candidates. We analyze our list of candidates and narrow it to those candidates who best fit your position and company. We contact those candidates by telephone to verify their interest and determine potential for further consideration. We conduct in-depth telephone interviews with those candidates showing the most potential. Once we have narrowed our focus to the best, we meet in person with the candidates. We continue this iterative screening process until we have identified the select few who share your company’s values, who are sensitive to Japanese culture and who have experience with or who are willing to make the transition to Japanese management style.

4. Value Added - Enhancing the Potential for the Best Match.

Once we are satisfied that we have a selection of ideal fit candidates, we go an extra step to make sure the candidate is prepared for the cross-cultural aspects of the open position and your company. If required, we coach the candidates in the differences that cultural variations can make in the interview and facilitate communications between you and the candidate.

5. Introducing the Candidate

Before we introduce a candidate, we present you with a detailed written report outlining qualifications and a summary statement of why we believe the candidate is ideally suited to your position and company. We make an on-site presentation of the candidates.

6. Hire

We are prepared to assist you during the hiring process. We can assist in organizing and directing the internal interviewing team and in selecting candidates. WIN is also available to provide assistance in developing employment offers, conducting final negotiations and obtaining an employment agreement.

7. Transition

No matter how thorough the hiring process, cultural differences may cause even the best of managers difficulty during transition to the new position. Language barriers and misunderstood signals can have consequences never intended. Following the hire, we make periodic contacts with both the new hire and the hiring manager. If we detect a problem, we communicate with both parties and participate in helping to resolve the issue. We want to make sure the new employee is well integrated into your company and job and that you are happy with the new hire. This transitional service guarantees the continued satisfaction of both client and new hire, creating a win/win situation for both parties.
