In 1984, Mr. Honda established MKK Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Maeda Corporation, in the United States. He led MKK through development, first as Executive Vice President and then as President and Chairman. After leaving Maeda, he co-founded the Honda Hershey Institute, a management consulting practice that specialized in addressing and resolving issues arising from cultural differences in Japanese companies in the U.S.

In 1992, Mr. Honda’s work in Karate in the U.S. led to the Foreign Ministry of Japan awarding him an Order of Culture (Bunka Kourou Shou) for his contribution to the introduction of Karate in the USA.

Mr. Honda served as Executive Professor in Residence at the A. J. Palumbo School of Business at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. At Duquesne, he gave lectures and held seminars on the practical aspects of Asian-American business.

Mr. Honda holds an MS in Engineering from UCLA and a BS in Civil Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo.

Satoshi Egawa,

WIN Advisory Group Vice President has 17 years of management experience in the areas of product development, production control, global procurement and sales support with one of the leading Japanese suppliers of Japanese automakers Nissan, Honda and others. Assigned to the American operations in Tennessee in 1990, Mr. Egawa was instrumental in directing the company’s implementation of a new car production facility, lean production system, and procurement activities.

In 1998, Mr. Egawa became a Chief Consultant of JMAC (Nihon Nou-ritsu Kyoukai), the leading Japanese quality and management consulting firm. He assisted more than 22 American and Japanese companies in the resolution of issues regarding overall plant management, labor and equipment productivity improvement, problem identification, performance analysis and control.

Japan native, Andy Ito

has over 15 years’ experience working as a liaison between American and Japanese management. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Pearl Corporation’s U.S. operation. Under Mr. Ito’s leadership, Pearl Corporation realized the #1 market share in North America. Today, he holds various directorships and advisory positions in companies from the US, Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and the Netherlands. With unique insights and a wide range of multi-cultural business experience Mr. Ito adds value to consulting on American-Japanese cultural diversity.

Yozo Kokubo

has extensive management experience in Japan and the United States. He most recently served as President and Chief Operations Officer of Systex Products Corporation, a manufacturer of plastic injection molded parts and sub-assemblies for automotive HVAC systems. He lead the establishment of Systex beginning with its start-up in the US through adding a subsidiary in Arkansas to serve the auto industry in the south.

Mr. Kokubo has hired many candidates, mostly for managerial and professional positions. This experience has given him solid insight into the importance of good fit—not only between job and candidate, but between the company’s long-term goals and the candidate’s abilities and motivation.

Mr. Kokubo holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Keio University in Tokyo and is certified by the Ministry of Labor in Tokyo as a Technical Translator.
